New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot to his office in Delhi on October 30 for questioning in the foreign exchange violation case. Earlier, Vaibhav Gehlot was supposed to appear in the ED match on Friday but he asked for 15 days more time. However, the investigating agency gave him only four days.

He is expected to arrive at the office at 11:30 am. Official sources told media that the ED on Thursday issued summons to Vaibhav Gehlot for questioning in a case related to alleged violation of the Foreign Exchange Act. These summons were issued ahead of assembly elections in Rajasthan on November 25, the results of which will be declared on December 3.

Sources said that Vaibhav Gehlot sought a new date to appear before the ED and argued that the ED investigators would have to collect documents from 2011 till now to hand over the documents. In fact, it was alleged in the complaint that in the year 2011, funds were diverted from a firm based in Mauritius to Triton Hotels by purchasing 2500 shares of the hotel.

At that time the shares were bought at Rs 39,900 per share, while the share price at that time was Rs 100. CM said, Vaibhav Gehlot is a taxi company. He was the first partner in that. This company was valued at 25 lakh rupees.

The probe agency had searched the group and its promoters for three days in August in Jaipur, Udaipur, Mumbai and Delhi.Ratan Kant Sharma’s alleged relationship with Vaibhav Gehlot is under investigation by ED. It is said that the investigating agency will interrogate him under FEMA and record his statement.

Vaibhav Gehlot said that this is a 12 year old matter. Central government is misusing government agencies. We knew these things would happen before the elections. They also raided the residence of our state president Govind Dotasara. They want to target my father Ashok Gehlot, so they sent summons to me. We have already clarified this matter. Whenever he calls me for inquiry, I will attend.
