In Jodhpur, Rajasthan, a case of a dog being dragged by a plastic surgeon has come to the fore. There is a fracture in the dog's leg. The police have registered a case after the matter came to light.
Jodhpur: A case of alleged cruelty with a dog has come to light in Rajasthan. There the dog was dragged a long distance after being tied to a moving car. The helpless dog was seen running behind the car during this time. During the incident, some people passing by had recorded the video of the entire incident. After the clip went viral, a case has been registered against the accused, who has been identified as a doctor.
The dog has reportedly suffered a fracture on one leg and injuries on the other. It also sustained bruises on the neck, a caretaker at Dog Home Foundation said on Sunday.

This case is being told of Jodhpur. A case was registered against the plastic surgeon of the government hospital on Sunday (September 18, 2022) for tying an abandoned dog to his car (with the help of a leash) and dragging him on the road, according to sources.
It was further told on behalf of Shastri Nagar police station in-charge Jogendra Singh that section 428 (killing or maiming an animal) of the Indian Penal Code and section 11 (cruelty to animals) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act against Dr Rajneesh Galwa. A case was registered under
According to the purported video, while Gwala drove the car, some commuters filmed his act and also rescued the dog after getting his vehicle stopped. The caretaker of the shelter home alleged that police initially were reluctant to cooperate.
“Police unnecessarily took the ambulance to the police station and kept it there for over an hour despite our request to release it so that the injured dog is treated. The police acted under the influence of the doctor and an FIR was lodged only after two hours,” he alleged.
