A major accident took place on Ajmer Beawar Road late on Thursday night. In this, there was a head-on collision between two tankers carrying petroleum gas. In this accident, three people sitting in a tanker died due to scorching. While three people sitting in the second tanker were seriously injured.
Ajmer: A horrific road accident happened on Thursday night in Beawar, Rajasthan. Two gas tankers collided with each other in this accident that took place between Pulia and Ranibagh Resort on Delwada Road on Beawar-Ajmer Sixlane Highway. Due to this, both the tankers caught fire with a terrible explosion. Three people died due to scorching in the grip of this fire. There are reports of injuries to many people. Apart from about a dozen shop houses around the incident site, this fire also engulfed three trucks passing through the highway. Due to this all of them were burnt to ashes.
On receiving the information, the fire brigade team reached the spot and with great difficulty controlled the fire. The incident happened on Thursday late night. During this accident, there was a jam on the spot. Only the people trapped in this jam informed the fire brigade. According to the information, the fire broke out due to the collision of both the gas tankers. Due to this, a tanker exploded with an explosion.
Due to this the fire reached the shops and houses built on the side of the road. Due to this, along with both the tankers, this shop house also got hit. Meanwhile, three trucks coming from both the sides also got caught in the fire. The drivers of these trucks jumped with great difficulty and saved their lives.
As soon as the gas tankers caught fire, the flames started touching the sky. These flames could be seen from three to four km away. At the same time, an area of half a kilometer was affected by the heat of this fire. In such a situation, the fire brigade personnel also had to face a lot of difficulty in extinguishing the fire by going near the tankers. The fire brigade first tried to douse the fire with water, but to no avail, so a foam tender was called from Ajmer. After this the fire could be controlled.
A fire, that spread with the explosion, engulfed the surrounding houses and shops as well. Several other vehicles on the road also caught fire due to the spewing of petroleum products.
Upon receiving information about the accident, fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze. SDM Mridul Singh and CI Surendra Singh, Ajmer Collector Anshdeep and SP Chunaram Jat also reached the spot.
Meanwhile, the injured were admitted to the government Amritkaur Hospital for treatment.
