Internet services has been shut down for 48 hours after a violent incident in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Bhilwara Superintendent of Police Adarsh Sidhu has appealed to the general public to maintain peace through a video message.
Jaipur: A Muslim youth was killed in firing by unknown miscreants on Thursday in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara city over old enmity while his brother was seriously injured and has been referred to Udaipur for treatment. Police said that in view of the tension created in the city after the youth’s death, the administration has suspended mobile internet service for 48 hours.
District administration and police are on high alert after a violent incident in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Divisional Commissioner BL Mehra has issued an order that Internet service has been stopped for 48 hours across the district. Its purpose is to maintain peace in Bhilwara.
According to sources, The initial investigation has revealed that the two men who are brothers were shot to avenge Adarsh Tapadia’s murder. Both accused in the incident have been detained by the police, said SP Adarsh Sidhu Additional Superintendent of Police. In May this year, Tapadia was stabbed to death in the city during a fight that arose out of an old rivalry between two groups.
“Prima facie, it looks like a revenge murder as a murder had happened almost six months back wherein the victims of this incident were accused in the former incident,” added Maitreya, as per the sources.
At the same time, the miscreants fled from the spot after shooting. Due to the sudden firing sensation spread in the surrounding area. On the other hand, seeing the seriousness of the matter, top police officers including SP Adarsh Sidhu, ASP Jyestha Maitrayi, CO City Narendra Dayma, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sadar Ramchandra Chowdhary reached the spot.
Apart from this, the FSL team also reached the spot on information. Along with this, police force was deployed everywhere in the city. Blockade has been done in search of miscreants. Meanwhile, the relatives of the brothers, who were victims of the firing, vandalized the hospital as well. After this, tension increased in the entire city.
