New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will begin his two-day trip to Egypt on September 19 to meet with top Egyptian leaders and hold bilateral discussions with his Egyptian counterpart.
Rajnath Singh is set to meet with General Mohamed Zaki, the defence minister of Egypt, during his tour in order to strengthen the defence cooperation between the two nations.
The two ministers will examine new efforts to strengthen military-to-military engagements. They will also assess bilateral defence ties between the two countries. New Delhi and Cairo are likely to focus on expanding cooperation between the defence industries of the two countries.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is expected to be signed to ensure improved defence cooperation between Egypt and India. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen ongoing defence cooperation and the special relationship between Egypt and India.
Rajnath Singh will have a busy schedule in Egypt. He’ll also meet the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Both leaders will talk about defence cooperation, along with other issues. Rajnath Singh’s visit is crucial because it will provide an opportunity to boost trade with Egypt as well.
