Ram Navami:According to Hindu scriptures, there is a legend about the birth of Lord Rama and his brothers. According to King Dashrath, when all three of the three queens Kaushalya, Sumitra and Kaikeyi did not get a son, King Dasharatha performed the Putreshti Yagya. The kheer that came out of the yagya was fed to the three queens in Prasad, then after some time the good news was heard in King Dasharatha’s house i.e. all the three queens have conceived.
On the day of Chaitra Shukla Navami, Kausalya Mata gave birth to Rama, Kaikeyi to Bharata and Sumitra to Lakshmana and Shatrughna. King Dasaratha had now found his successor.
Ram Navami has a lot of importance in Hinduism. On the day of Ram Navami, chant the Ram Raksha Mantra Om Shree Hree Klein Ramchandraya Shree Namah 108 times by taking Ganges water or clean water in a bowl.
