The eagerly awaited consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is set to take place on January 22, with dignitaries such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cricketers, celebrities, industrialists, and saints expected to attend the grand event.

Ram Temple Rituals and Events. The rituals leading up to this historic occasion will span seven days, commencing on January 16. Here’s a detailed schedule of the events:

January 16: Atonement ceremony conducted by the host appointed by the Temple trust.’Dashvidh’ bath on the banks of the Saryu River, accompanied by Vishnu worship and Godan.

January 17: Procession with the idol of Lord Ram (Ram Lalla), with devotees carrying Saryu water in Mangal Kalash.

January 18: Rituals including Ganesh Ambika Puja, Varun Puja, Matrika Puja, Brahmin Varan, Vastu Puja, etc.

January 19: Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana, and Havan.

January 20: Washing of the sanctum sanctorum with the holy water of Saryu, followed by rituals including Vaastu Shanti and Annadhivas.

January 21: Divine bath of the deity of Ram Lalla with 125 urns. Shayadhivas ritual.

January 22: Morning worship of the deity of Ram Lalla, followed by consecration in Mrigashira Nakshatra in the afternoon.

Notable personalities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Sonia Gandhi, and former PM Manmohan Singh have been extended invitations to attend the ceremony on January 22, adding to the significance of this momentous occasion.
