Deepika Padukone revealed the World Cup trophy along with former Spanish player and goalkeeper Iker Casillas, her husband Ranveer Singh posted several photos and videos on social media on Monday from the stadium,
Doha: Deepika Padukone is making headlines for her song “Besharam Rang,” which she performed with Shah Rukh Khan in the film “Pathaan.” But she was not behind in watching the football World Cup final played between Argentina and France with her husband, Ranveer Singh.
Before the start of the proceedings, Deepika revealed the World Cup trophy along with former Spanish player and goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Ranveer posted several photos and videos on social media on Monday from the stadium, praising his wife Deepika and calling it his ‘asli trophy’ (real trophy).
Sharing pictures of Deepika Padukone unveiling the trophy, Ranveer wrote on his Instagram Stories, “Bursting with pride. “That’s my baby.” He further wrote, “Just check her out. “Sparkling on the world’s biggest stage.”
The actor also posted several video clippings of the breathtaking final. In a video, he can be seen hugging his wife and celebrating Argentina’s victory. He called it a “historic moment” as they watched the match together.
Ranveer had tweeted his reaction to Argentina’s victory, saying, “What have I just witnessed?!” Historic. Iconic. Pure magic. FIFA World Cup.” He further tweeted, “It had to be him, Messi.”
In one of his videos, Ranveer stated that it was the “most thrilling World Cup final ever,” and I was “present there.” He met with the former head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri, who shared a video with him on Instagram. In the video, Shastri pointed out that Ranveer can be spotted at most of the major events in the world.
Ranveer’s upcoming film is Rohit Shetty’s comedy Cirkus. Deepika also appears in the film and performs a dance with Raveer Current Laga. The film is set to hit the silver screen on December 23, ahead of Christmas.
