New Delhi: As the eagerly awaited action thriller Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead is getting closer to its release date of December 1, the makers of the film are leaving no stone unturned to maintain the buzz and anticipation around the film. After treating fans with the first look poster of Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor from the upcoming film, ‘Animal’, the makers gave a new surprise. On September 23, they unveiled the first-look poster of the leading lady, Rashmika Mandanna. The actress will be seen playing the role of Geetanjali.
South superstar Rashmika Mandanna is going to be seen on the big screen with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time. Rashmika herself shared her look from the film on Instagram, in which she can be seen draped in a saree, with a mangalsutra and tilak. she wrote, “Your Geetanjali.”
On Friday, Anil Kapoor introduced himself as Balbir Singh from Animal. Kapoor looked intense in his first look poster leaving the audience wanting more.
Earlier, ‘Animal’ was scheduled to release in theaters in September. To prevent it from coinciding with the release of ‘Jawaan’, the film was postponed. Now it will be released in theaters on December 1. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in a full-fledged ensemble role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and others, Animal has been written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Trupti Dimri.
The makers are all set to unveil the teaser of the film on September 28, Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday.
According to reports, Animal may clash with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. It is being said that Dunki will be released on December 22, which may impact the box office performance of Animal.
