New Delhi: After launching in Vietnam, the company has finally revealed the Realme 9i launch date in India. The Chinese company has announced that its first device in the Realme 9 series will be unveiled in the country on January 18 and will be the first Snapdragon 680 smartphone in the segment.

Furthermore, the promotional poster for the Realme 9i showcases its design and, in all likelihood, the Indian variant of the Realme 9i will look the same as the one launched in Vietnam a little while ago.

The phone shares some of the design elements with the premium GT Neo 2. It comes with a Snapdragon 680 4G processor under the hood. There is also a triple-camera setup on the back. Let’s take a look at the Realme 9i launch in India, specifications, features, and other details.

Realme 9i launch in India
Realme 9i will debut in India on January 18. The budget smartphone is expected to launch with the same specs found in the Vietnamese variant. The company has already confirmed that the Blue color variant of the device will launch in India. It is also said to be the first smartphone in the segment to offer the Snapdragon 680 SoC.

Realme 9i price in India
According to a recent leak, the Realme 9i may come with a starting price of Rs 14,499. The device is also said to come in multiple storage options. We can expect the phone to come with 6GB RAM option along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

Specifications and features
The budget Realme smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood. It has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging via USB Type-C. The phone sports a triple-camera setup on the back. It has a 50MP main camera sensor, coupled with two 2MP sensors for shooting macro images and depth sensing.

At the front, there is a tall 6.6-inch IPS LCD with 480 nits brightness. It has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone comes with a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner of the screen for the front camera. It also supports a 90Hz refresh rate.

For selfies, the device has a 16MP front camera sensor. It comes with Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with AI face unlock. The phone weighs 190 grams and is 8.4mm thick.
