Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani gets death threat, email demands Rs 20 crore

Mumbai: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has received death threats. According to the information received from the police, the threat was sent by email. An unknown person has sent an email to Mukesh Ambani company ID. It is said that Ambani should give 20 crore rupees or else he will be killed.

The email read, “If 20 crore rupees are not given, we will kill you. In India, we have the best shooters.” Based on the complaint of Mukesh Ambani’s security in-charge, a case has been registered in Mumbai Gamdevi police station. Section 387 and 506 (2) of IPC have been imposed on an unknown person.

After registering the case, the police have started the investigation. This is not the first time that Mukesh Ambani has been threatened with death. Last year, a man from Bihar’s Darbhanga was arrested for making death threat calls to Mukesh Ambani and his family members. The accused, who is an unemployed man, was identified as Rakesh Kumar Mishra. He had even threatened Mukesh Ambani’s family and to blow up the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai.

Before this, in the month of February this year, a person called the control room of Nagpur Police and threatened to blow up Mukesh Ambani’s house “Antilia”. Soon after this, the police tightened the security of Antilia. Even before that, Ambani has been receiving such threats. He is the country’s largest businessman and the highest tax payer in India. Therefore, the government is very careful about their security.
