New Delhi: Another sad news is coming from Punjabi music industry. Two months after the death of Sidhu Moosewala, the Punjabi music industry has once again suffered a setback. This industry has lost another priceless diamond. Noted Punjabi singer Balwinder Safri passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 63. He was in the hospital for about 86 days, He was recently discharged and his health was improving. But now he has said goodbye to this world. He died on 26 July. The family gave this information in a post on social media.
Singer was admitted to the hospital in April this year due to heart ailment. Soon he was sent for triple bypass. Even after the surgery, there were some complications due to which he had to undergo another operation. Thereafter, he remained in a coma for some time and a CT scan showed damage to his brain.
Punjabi music industry mourns demise
The demise of Balwinder Safri has plunged the Punjabi music industry into deep mourning. His fans and all the celebs are expressing their condolences by posting on social media. Punjabi celebs like Neeru Bajwa, Gurdas Maan and Jassi Gill have also taken to their social media handles to express their condolences. Neeru Bajwa remembered an old anecdote by sharing her photo with him. Along with this, he thanked him for giving the Punjabi music industry.
The death of Balwinder Safri has left the family in mourning and a wave of mourning has spread in the Punjabi music industry. Fans are paying tribute and remembering him on social media.

Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa took to Instagram and wrote, “We will cherish your music and contribution to Punjabi music forever sir. Rest in peace. Alvida sir Balwinder Safri.”

Diljit Dosanjh took to Twitter and paid tributes to the late singer. He dropped a picture of Safri and wrote ‘Waheguru’ in the caption with folded hands emoji. Punjabi actor Neeru Bajwa remembered the ‘Par Linghade’ singer and wrote, “Menu yaad hai Balwinder ji nu asi window tho dekya si during #beautifulbillo shoot… we were so excited. He so graciously came up to meet us. Dont make them like that anymore…. Thank you Sir for giving Punjabi music industry so much. You will be forever live in our hearts #balwindersafri ji.”
Balwinder Safri was also known as Bhangra Star. Safri was a UK-based Punjabi singer known for popular tracks like ‘O chan mere makhna’, ‘Pao Bhangra’, ‘Gal sun kuriye’ and ‘Nachdi nu’. His songs Boli, Boli Boli, Ik Dil Kare still live on people’s lips.
