The 52-year-old was rushed at Chennai hospital following the accident. Unfortunately, he breathed his last at 4 PM yesterday while undergoing treatment. Arpudhan is known for directing films like Manadhodu Mazhaikalam, starring Shaam and Love Today, starring Uday Kiran.

Arpudhan played an important role in launching choreographer and actor-director Raghava Lawrence as a leading man in films. Raghava played the protagonist in Arpudhan’s 2002 film Arputham. Produced by Super Good Films, this movie garnered a favourable response, establishing Raghava Lawrence’s presence as a leading actor in the eyes of the audience. The film’s cast also included Kunal, Anu Prabhakar, Livingston, Dhamu, and Vaiyapuri.

Raghava Lawrence-starrer Chandramukhi 2 released on the silver screens on September 28; but unfortunately, it got negative reviews from both critics and the audience. The film was criticised for its weak storyline and the performances of Kangana Ranaut, Raghava Lawrence, and the rest of the cast.
