RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani receives a new death threat via email, with a demand of ₹200 crore

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, faced another death threat via email on October 28, just hours after a previous threat demanding ₹20 crore. In this subsequent email, the sender raised the demand to ₹200 crore, indicating frustration with the lack of response to the initial threat.

The email contained a warning that read, “You have not responded to our email; now the amount is ₹200 crore, otherwise the death warrant is signed,” as reported by Mumbai Police.

The previous threat, received on Friday, included a demand for ₹20 crore and warned of dire consequences if the sum was not paid. The threatening email stated, “If you don’t give us ₹20 crore, we will kill you; we have the best shooters in India.”

In response to this, based on a complaint from Mukesh Ambani’s security in-charge, the Gamdevi Police in Mumbai registered a case against an unknown individual under sections 387 and 506 (2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The investigation is currently underway.

Notably, this is not the first time Mukesh Ambani and his family have received death threats. In 2022, an unidentified caller threatened to blow up the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in south Mumbai, while in August 2022, a jeweler was arrested for making threats to kill Mukesh Ambani and his family members by calling the hospital. Additionally, in February 2021, an SUV laden with explosives was discovered near Mukesh Ambani’s south Mumbai residence, ‘Antilia.’
