Rishabh Pant Car Accident: Rishabh Pant to be treated in Mumbai, narrowly escaped a horrific car accident when he was going from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee, but lost control on the NH-58 highway and collided with the divider .
New Delhi: Rishabh Pant will be treated in Mumbai, BCCI sources said on Wednesday that India’s star batsman Rishabh Pant will be shifted from Dehradun to Mumbai hospital, where he will undergo comprehensive treatment due to knee and ankle injuries. “Rishabh is being shifted to Mumbai for diagnosis and treatment of his ligament injury and further course of action will be decided soon.
He is expected to be under the supervision of renowned sports orthopedic Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala empaneled by the BCCI. If surgery is advised, a decision will be made if this will be in the UK or the US. Pant, 25, narrowly escaped a horrific car accident when he was traveling from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee, but lost control on the NH-58 highway and crashed into the divider.
“He will be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute and will be under the direct supervision of Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, Head – the Centre for Sports Medicine, and Director – Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service at the hospital. Rishabh will undergo surgery and subsequent procedures for ligament tears and will continue to be monitored by the BCCI Medical Team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation,” a part of BCCI’s statement read.
Pant had bruises on his forehead, serious back injuries as well as injuries to his knees and ankles. While most of the injuries are correct, the worrisome factor would be ankle and knee as he was treated at Max, Dehradun.
Rishabh Pant will be shifted to Mumbai today for further treatments.
