He is expected to be under the supervision of renowned sports orthopedic Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala empaneled by the BCCI. If surgery is advised, a decision will be made if this will be in the UK or the US. Pant, 25, narrowly escaped a horrific car accident when he was traveling from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee, but lost control on the NH-58 highway and crashed into the divider.

“He will be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute and will be under the direct supervision of Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, Head – the Centre for Sports Medicine, and Director – Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service at the hospital. Rishabh will undergo surgery and subsequent procedures for ligament tears and will continue to be monitored by the BCCI Medical Team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation,” a part of BCCI’s statement read.

Pant had bruises on his forehead, serious back injuries as well as injuries to his knees and ankles. While most of the injuries are correct, the worrisome factor would be ankle and knee as he was treated at Max, Dehradun.
