Patna: Former Bihar CM and RJD leader Lalu Prasad, who was admitted to a hospital in Patna with serious injuries a few days ago, is scheduled to be flown to Delhi on Wednesday for treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
The RJD patriarch said on Sunday that he had fallen and fractured his shoulder as well as hurt his back.
The former chief minister of Bihar, who was staying at the home of his wife, Rabri Devi, slipped on the home’s stairs.
Prasad, who has a number of medical issues and is preparing to travel abroad for treatment of kidney issues, was taken to a nearby hospital in Patna when he disbalanced on stairs and fell down.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inquired about Lalu’s health. As per the RJD spokesperson (Bihar), “The PM spoke to Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday and enquired about the health of the RJD leader. The PM wished “speedy recovery to the RJD chief.”
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar met Lalu Yadav at Patna’s Paras Hospital on Wednesday to enquire about his fracture and other injuries sustained after coming down the stairs.
