Roger Federer makes his way to Wimbledon finals 2017

Roger Federer will be eyeing the trophy of Wimbledon in the final clash out with Marin Cilic on Sunday where he will play 11th title match at the All England Club. Roger Federer won his first Grand Slam title way back in 2003.

Roger Federer who is turning 36 years old on August 8,is now the oldest finalist at Wimbledon since 1974.He was making his comeback after a knee surgery and surprisingly he showed great valour and efficiency in the match.

During the ongoing Wimbledon, has not lost even a single set in six matches. He played relentlessly with Czech Tomas Berdych and made it to the finals. Federer after 7-6(4), 7-6(4), 6-4 win went on to say: “It was a long way back in some ways. Last year was so difficult. Just to stay calm and speak to the team, to take another decision that we were going to sit out and wait.”

Overwhelmed with his win, Federer went on to say: “I feel very privileged to be in another final, Federer, who received a standing ovation at the end. I’ve got the pleasure to play on Centre Court another time. I can’t believe it’s almost true again. I’m happy to have a day off to reflect on what I’ve done at the tournament.”
