“I just wanted to give a quick update of how everything is. Thanks for all the messages that I’ve received over the last few days. It’s clearly been very emotional but good. I’m happy to now be in London, and it’s wonderful to be surrounded by a really close family. Federer said in an Instagram post.

The 41-year-old tennis great has confirmed that he has been feeling well and is ready to play his final match on September 23. Earlier on Tuesday, Federer made it clear in front of the media that he hasn’t been taking part in the singles event at the Laver Cup.

He had knee surgery three times in the span of two years. Due to a knee injury, he has been struggling for a long time.

When asked about his future plans, he stated, “I am not sure, but I want to stay connected to the sport that has given me everything.”

Roger Federer will team up with the other members of the Big 4—Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray—to represent Team Europe at the upcoming Laver Cup.
