Patna: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has been suffering from multiple ailments, including kidney disease, for several years. As per the media report, one of his daughters based in Singapore, Rohini Aacharya, is ready to donate one of her kidneys to Lalu to save her father’s life.
Lalu has been getting treatment in Singapore, doctors there advised him to undergo a kidney transplant while he was there for treatment in October.
In the beginning, Lalu Prasad was not in favour of taking his daughter Rohini’s kidney to save his life. Pressure from family members and the success rate made Lalu ready to take his daughter’s kidney.
Lalu is expected to land in Singapore again between November 20 and 24, and it is likely that during this period he will undergo a kidney transplant.
Lalu’s second daughter, Rohini, lives in Singapore, and she has been worried amid her father’s deteriorating health. She insisted Lalu to come to Singapore to consult with a team of doctors, who later told him that kidney transplantation was the only option.
Lalu had been admitted to the AIIMS in Delhi for several years with kidney disease. However, AIIMS doctors advised him not to go for kidney transplantation. In fact, Singaporean doctors recommended a kidney transplant for him.
