Both Rohit and Babar are gearing up to lead their respective sides in a crucial Asia Cup 2022 match scheduled to be held on Sunday, August 28 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Younis talked at length and breath about the importance of both captains, Sharma and Azam, and their run-scoring abilities for their teams. However, he considered Rohit a far better leader because he had played under captains like MS Dhoni.

Younis was quoted as saying to Telegraph India that “we all know how crucial Rohit and Babar are when it comes to scoring big runs for their teams and the importance they carry in terms of putting up performances of significance.”

Rohit Sharma got a chance to learn captaincy from Dhoni and Kohli, and both were successful as captains. Playing under the guidance of remarkable leaders has enhanced the leadership qualities of Right Sharma.

Rohit took over the T-20 captaincy from Virat Kohli in November 2021, after the T-20 World Cup. India lost to arch-rival Pakistan in the T-20 World Cup last year. The Rohit Sharma-led side has an opportunity to take revenge in the Asia Cup T-20.

Overall, Rohit’s captaincy record in the shortest format of the game is remarkable. Under his leadership, the boys in blue emerged victorious in 29 matches out of 35 T20Is with a win percentage of 82.85.

However, Pakistani captain Babar led his team in 41 matches, winning 26 of them. So his winning percentage is 72.22 as a captain.

At the outset, Sharma is looking like a better captain. But everything will be decided on Sunday. Get ready to watch another absorbing Indo-Pak encounter on the cricket ground.
