The nature of the injury has not been revealed, and no official statement is expected to come out till the medical team goes through all the investigations. Fortunately, the atmosphere in the team was calm and relaxed. After some time, Rohit came back for a second session and was looking relaxed. It seemed the ice pack suited him well. He batted for 15 minutes without any discomfort.

Before the start of the World Cup, ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja were ruled out due to injuries. The men in blue have a great chance to lift the T20 World Cup for the second time; the inaugural tournament was won by India under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
