RPF cop who shot dead four on Jaipur-Mumbai train dismissed from service

New Delhi: RPF has taken major action in the matter of firing in Jaipur Mumbai Superfast Express train. Accused Chetan Singh (33 years) has been dismissed from service by the senior officers of RPF. The decision came after the court's observation that how accused Chetan Singh killed his senior ASI Tikaram Meena and three other passengers in a target killing manner.

New Delhi: RPF has taken major action in the matter of firing in Jaipur Mumbai Superfast Express train. Accused Chetan Singh (33 years) has been dismissed from service by the senior officers of RPF. The decision came after the court’s observation that how accused Chetan Singh killed his senior ASI Tikaram Meena and three other passengers in a target killing manner.

At present the accused Chetan Singh is lodged in jail and is in judicial custody. There is a hearing in the court today on the application of RPF. RPF wants to interrogate Chetan Singh in judicial custody, for which the applicant is in the court. The order is likely to come today after the hearing.

Let us tell you that RPF constable Chetan Singh allegedly shot dead his senior and three passengers near Palghar station in Maharashtra on Monday in the moving Jaipur-Mumbai Central Express train. Railway police have identified two of the deceased passengers as Abdul Kadarbhai Mohammad Hussain Bhanpurwala (48), a resident of Nalasopara in Palghar and Asghar Abbas Shaikh (48), a resident of Madhubani in Bihar, while the third victim is yet to be identified.

After the incident, when the passengers pulled the chain of the train, the train stopped near Mira Road station. After which the accused tried to run away, but he was arrested with weapons. In a video purportedly going viral from the train, it is seen that Chetan is standing next to a body. In this video, he can be heard saying that he has been operated from Pakistan, and the media is showing this coverage. In the investigation of the case, it has come to light that the voice sample of Chetan Singh and the voice of this video clip match. Based on this video and the statement of the passengers, Chetan Singh has been booked under IPC sections 153 A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, caste, place of birth, residence), 302 (murder), 363 (kidnapping), 341 and A case has been registered under sections like 342. Apart from these, a case has also been registered against him in the Arms Act and Railway Act.
