Chittorgarh: Ruckus over the murder of the son of a former BJP councilor in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. In the Dhuncha Bazar area of Chittorgarh, the local people also pelted stones on the police and raised slogans against the government. People allege that had the law and order been correct, the former councilor’s young son would not have been murdered. The video of stone pelting on police is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which it can be seen that common people are pelting stones on the police.
According to the information, the son of BJP councilor Jagdish Soni was murdered on Tuesday night in a fight between two groups. People got angry after this incident. People also created a ruckus demanding the arrest of the accused. On this entire incident, Chittorgarh SP Preeti Jain said that heavy police force has been deployed in the area. The administration has also announced compensation. He said that there is peace in the area now. RAC and STF personnel are patrolling the entire area.
Chittorgarh SP Preeti Jain said that three people have been detained in this murder case. FIR has been registered. The family had demanded financial compensation from the government and a job for the family member. The Collector of Chittorgarh said that the demands of the family have been accepted. The last rites will be performed this evening after the post-mortem of the deceased. The collector told that there is peace in the area. He told that the government will give a job to the wife of the deceased, along with the government is also giving a compensation of Rs 25 lakh.
Preeti Jain said that the post-mortem has not been done yet and in the complaint lodged last night, 3 people have been taken into custody after registering an FIR. Some names had surfaced, the police is investigating in that regard. The situation is under control at the spot. He said that as per the preliminary information, there was a fight between the two parties in front of the liquor shop and it was a mutual old enmity or a minor quarrel of the occasion, due to which this incident was likely to happen under the influence of alcohol.
Former BJP councilor Jagdish Soni said that the administration has accepted our demand. We will perform the last rites of the son after the post-mortem by evening. He has demanded the harshest punishment for the killers.
