Chinese President Xi Jinping has hit the social media due to his house arrest, no official confirmation about this matter.
Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping has hit the social media due to his house arrest, Internet blogs claim that Jinping, who was recently in Samarkand for the SCO meeting, has been relieved of his duties as the leader of China’s People’s Liberation Army, or PLA.
However, neither the Chinese Communist Party nor the official media have provided any official confirmation about this matter.
“New rumour to be investigated: Is Xi Jingping in Beijing under house arrest? The Chinese Communist Party’s top officials were said to have fired Xi from his position as the Party’s in-charge of the Army when he was recently in Samarkand. Then came house arrest. So goes the rumour, tweeted by BJP leader and former cabinet minister Subramanian Swamy.
Numerous Chinese nationals also discussed Xi Jinping’s alleged house arrest on Twitter. Many people claim that the PLA now controls the army. Some people have even speculated that Li Qiaoming has been appointed China’s president.
This week in China, two were sentenced to death and four other officials received life sentences. The six were reportedly part of a “political faction,” according to reports. The Communist Party is currently running an anti-corruption campaign throughout the nation, and it is thought that the six were Jinping’s opponents. The news of Jinping’s house arrest is believed to have been started and spread by the anti-Jinping lobby.
