Russia urges Ukraine to surrender, while West promises more military assistance

Russia has decided to show its military prowess by sending more troops to Ukrainian cities. It means more forces are pressed into the war to take control of Ukraine’s eastern industrial heartland of coal mines and factories.

The devastating war has created havoc in the minds of civilians as dead bodies are scattered on the roads of Ukraine. It is expected that more than 4 million Ukrainians have fled the country. Since the start of the war on February 24, several cities have been totally ruined, and thousands have died during the insurgence of Russian troops.

Russia has given an ultimatum in Mariupol to Ukrainian fighters to surrender by Wednesday afternoon as it pushes for a decisive victory in its offensive in the east, while Western governments promise to give Ukraine more military help.
