In a tragic turn of events in the Salman Khan house firing case, one of the accused, Anuj Thapan, has died by suicide while in police custody.

Salman Khan Firing Case: Accused Anuj Thapan Dies. Anuj Thapan, who was implicated in the Salman Khan house firing incident, was found hanging in his police cell, using a sheet intended for bedding. Despite efforts to save him, Anuj succumbed to his injuries at GT Hospital.

Anuj Thapan’s role in the case involved allegedly providing weapons to the shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, who fired outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. The Mumbai Police, attributing gangster Lawrence Bishnoi as the gang leader, invoked MCOCA sections against all arrested individuals.

Salman Khan’s security was heightened in 2022 due to threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. Additionally, the actor was authorized to carry a personal firearm and acquired an armoured vehicle for protection.

Following the incident, Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the firing through his Facebook profile, prompting the Mumbai Crime Branch to request a lookout notice against him.

The shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s residence involved two individuals firing four rounds of bullets before fleeing the scene. Salman Khan, currently in London, recently met UK MP Barry Gardiner at Wembley Stadium.
