Kolkata: The cargo plane of Saudi Airlines made an emergency landing at the airport of Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal on Saturday. According to the information, the pilot informed that the windshield of the plane was broken due to the wind, after which an emergency landing was made in Kolkata.
Airport Authority officials said that the plane was safely landed at the Kolkata airport at 12:20 pm. However, according to the information, there has been no news of any kind of damage so far. The plane landed safely.
Earlier on April 04, an Air India plane had made an emergency landing at the Kolkata airport. An engine blade of an Air India plane was found damaged after landing at the Kolkata airport. Officials suspect it was caused by a bird strike. One blade of the right engine of the Airbus A320 aircraft which came from Mumbai to Kolkata was found to be bent during the investigation, the official said.
He said that after taking off from Mumbai at 6:16 in the morning, the plane reached Kolkata at around 8:20 in the morning after which a total of 119 passengers boarded the plane to return to Mumbai. However, the passengers were disembarked after it was reported that the engine blades were damaged and the aircraft was repaired. Officials said that the passenger left for Mumbai on the same flight at around 1 pm.
