Karachi/Pakistan: Once again a Hindu doctor has been targeted in Pakistan. Retired director of Karachi Municipal Corporation and ophthalmologist Dr. Birbal Jenani was shot dead near Lyari Expressway. His assistant Qurat-ul-Ain was also seriously injured in this attack. Both were traveling in the same car.
Local media reported that the former director of the Karachi Municipal Corporation and an ophthalmologist were murdered. For the second time in a month, a Hindu doctor has been targeted in Pakistan. CCTV footage of this incident has also come to the fore.
On the basis of this CCTV footage, the suspicion of target killing is being expressed. This is the second case of attack on a Hindu doctor in Pakistan this month. Earlier this month, a doctor, Dharam Dev Rathi, was murdered inside his house by his driver in Hyderabad, Pakistan. Police told Pakistani news outlet The Nation that the driver had slit the doctor’s throat with a knife. Police arrested the driver from his house in Khairpur and identified him as Hanif Leghari.

The doctor’s cook told the police that while going home, there was an argument between the two. After this, when both of them reached home, the driver allegedly took a knife from the kitchen and killed the doctor in his own house.
This is the second attack on a Hindu doctor in Pakistan this month. Earlier, a doctor hailing from Pakistan’s Hyderabad was killed by his driver inside his house. Local police told Pakistani news outlet The Nation that the driver slit Dharam Dev Raathi’s throat with a knife. Police have arrested the driver from his home in Khairpur, media reports say.
