Security beefed up ahead of Sonia’s 2nd round of questioning today, nationwide protest by Cong workers

New Delhi: In the breaking development in the case, Enforcement Directorate (ED) will question Congress President Sonia Gandhi again on Tuesday in the National Herald money laundering case. ED has already questioned Sonia Gandhi. Now the next round of questioning will be done today. At the same time, Congress will protest about this. Congress leaders and workers will protest inside and outside Parliament.

Before questioning Sonia Gandhi, a meeting of Congress general secretaries, party’s state in-charges and MPs was held at the Congress headquarters on Monday evening, in which the strategy ahead was discussed. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that Congress wanted to hold ‘Satyagraha’ at Rajghat, but permission was not received from Delhi Police and Section 144 was imposed there. “The Modi government cannot bow down to us,” he said. He said that party MPs will protest on this issue inside Parliament.

Party leaders and workers will demonstrate solidarity with Sonia Gandhi at the Congress headquarters. The ED had on Thursday questioned the Congress president for two hours in a money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper. At the same time, in protest against this, the Congress demonstrated strength in the whole country and the party leaders had given arrests. ED has also questioned Rahul Gandhi in this case.
