Mumbai: Aamir Khan and his ex-wife, Reena Dutta’s daughter, Ira Khan, who got engaged to Nupur Shikhare last November, is all set to tie the knot on January 3 next year. For the unversed, it was in February 2021, when Ira made her relationship official with Aamir’s fitness trainer, Nupur Shikhare, and since then, they have been living together. Moreover, they got engaged in 2022. Now, the two lovebirds performed their first pre-wedding ceremony together, amidst close friends and family, and painted the town red with their love-filled moments.
On November 3, 2023, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding festivities began with their kelvan ceremony. This first pre-wedding ritual is an integral part of Marathi weddings which brings together the families of the bride and groom for a pre-wedding feast and gift exchange. For the ceremony, Ira opted for a beautiful pink leheriya saree and teamed her look with simple makeup, jhumkas, a Maharashtrian nath and open messy tresses. On the other hand, Nupur looked handsome in a printed kurta paired with denim pants.
Meanwhile, Ira Khan recently came into lime lights for a mental health campaign, along with her dad Aamir Khan. The duo even shared a video online urging people to take it seriously and shared a few helplines for those in need.
Apart from this, Aamir’s daughter Ira is quite active on Instagram and keeps sharing pictures and videos of her beau Nupur. Recently, she shared an appreciation post for him and wrote, ”I don’t think I tell you enough or am able to express the extent of my love and appreciation for you. I know you and I both feel it when we cuddle though. You are an integral part and variable of the environment that has helped me grow. I don’t think you’ll ever know the extent of it nor will I be able to articulate it.”
