Mumbai: After a four-year hiatus, Aamir Khan will return to the big screen in Laal Singh Chaddha. It is set to hit the silver screens on August 11, directed by Advait Chandan and written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni.
Just a day before the release of LSC, it is not free from controversy. A section of netizens on social media are provoking people to boycott the upcoming film by Aamir Khan, “Lal Singh Chaddha”.
Seeing the public outrage, Aamir said that he is regretful if he has hurt anyone’s sentiments.
The boycott trend against Laal Singh Chaddha got underway because a section of netizens dragged out Aamir Khan’s 2015 interview, when he said that he and his then wife, Karan Rao, would like to migrate due to “growing intolerance.”
After receiving criticism for his upcoming film LSC, the actor stated in Delhi. I am just keeping my fingers crossed and praying to the almighty, and I have faith in my audience. Agar maine kisi ka dil dukhaaya hai kisi cheez se toh mujhe us baat ka dukh hai, main kisi ka dil nahi dukhaana chahta hun. I never want to cause anyone pain. Those who are not interested in watching the film, I will respect their sentiment. What else can I say?
Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, Forrest Gump, featuring Tom Hanks.
