Selection Process Underway: 200 Candidates Vie for Priest Positions at Ram Temple

Ayodhya: The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust is currently in the process of interviewing candidates for the esteemed position of priests for Ram Lalla, having shortlisted 200 individuals from an impressive pool of 3,000 applicants.

A panel comprising Jaykant Mishra, a Vrindavan-based preacher, along with two esteemed mahants, Mithilesh Nandini Sharan and Satyanarayan Das from Ayodhya, is conducting the interviews at Karsevak Puram in Ayodhya.

Out of the 200 candidates, the Trust will ultimately select and appoint 20 individuals to serve as priests. The selected candidates will undergo six months of residential training before being deployed to various posts.

Govind Dev Giri, the Trust’s treasurer, stated that the appointed priests will play a crucial role in the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla and other future religious events associated with the deity. The Trust has taken a comprehensive approach by establishing the Shri Ram Sewa Vidhi Vidhan Samiti, tasked with overseeing affairs related to the consecration ceremony and all subsequent religious events involving Ram Lalla.

To ensure the proper execution of daily rituals, the Samiti will prepare religious texts that outline the procedures for the worship of Ram Lalla. The Trust’s commitment to a meticulous selection process and thorough training reflects its dedication to maintaining the sanctity and significance of the revered Ram Temple.
