Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh’s car collided with a bike in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh

Digvijay Singh had reached the house of the district president of Congress in Kodakya village to express his condolence.

Bhopal: Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s vehicle hit a bike rider in Rajgarh on Thursday. After the collision, Digvijay not only stopped his car but also admitted the injured to the local hospital from where he was referred to Chirayu Hospital in Bhopal. According to the information, the condition of the injured youth is stable. Digvijay had reached the house of the district president of Congress in Kodakya village to express his condolence.

Dr Manoj Gupta, posted at the government hospital in Jirapur, said the biker, a resident of Rajpur’s Parolia, has suffered a head injury.

“His condition is stable and he has been referred to Chirayu Hospital in Bhopal for CT scan,” he added.

This morning, Mr Singh had gone to the house of the Congress district president Prakash Purohit, whose mother died, at village Kodakya, to pay tribute.

When they left around 3:00 in the afternoon, 20-year-old Rambabu Bagri, a bike rider near Zirapur, collided with the car of Digvijay Singh, who was riding in a black Fortuner. Rambabu Bagri is a resident of Parolia. The accident happened when Rambabu was turning his car.

The driver of Mr Singh’s car, Akhtar Khan, has been arrested and the car seized by the local police.
