New Delhi: Delhi has been witnessing fire incidents incessantly. A massive fire broke out on May 13 in a building in Delhi’s Mundka area, killing at least 27 people.
Another fire incident took place at the Jhandewalan cycle market in central Delhi on Friday afternoon. Several shops were gutted in the fire. The first information about the blaze was received at 2.05 pm, following which fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the inferno. They needed more than two hours to overcome the blaze.
As per the official report, no causality has been reported so far.
Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain tweeted about the incident.”In an unfortunate incident, a fire broke out in Delhi’s Jhandewalan cycle market near Videocon Tower. 27 fire tenders were rushed to the accident spot. Our brave fire fighters have controlled the situation.” No casualties have been reported so far,” he tweeted.

On Thursday, another fire incident occurred at an electronic goods factory in northeast Delhi’s Mustafabad locality. In this incident, one person was killed and six were injured.
