SGPC chastises a Congress worker for wearing a T-shirt with Jagdish Taylor’s photo on premises of Golden Temple

Harjinder Singh Dhami, President SGPC lashed out Congress worker Karamjit Singh Gill for visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar wearing a T-shirt with the image of Jagdish Tytler.

Amritsar: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), has chastised Congress worker Karamjit Singh Gill for visiting the Golden Temple in Amritsar while wearing a T-shirt with the image of Jagdish Tytler, the main suspect in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. In this riot, a huge number of people died. A police report has been filed against Karamjit Singh Gill by the SGPC.

Karamjit Sing visited the Sachkhand Sri Harmandir wearing a T-shirt depicting the photograph of Tytler and was photographed at the gurdwara premises.

According to Dhami, Jagdish Tytler is the main accused in the 1984 massacre against the Sikhs in Delhi and would never be pardoned by Sikh community.

Following a complaint by the SGPC president, the Amritsar Police filed a FIR against Karamjit Singh Gill for sharing the picture while sporting the T-shirt.

The SGPC has been managing the gurdwaras located in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh.
