By releasing the first song from “Pathaan,” which features Deepika Padukone in a never-before-seen avatar, Shah Rukh Khan got the week off to a blazing start. “The song #BesharamRang is here,” wrote SRK as he shared a teaser of it along with a link to the YouTube video. “Seeing her, you know… beauty is an attitude.”
In the Vaibhavi Merchant-choreographed song, DP spins, twerks, and joins SRK for a dance performance as the Spanish coast swelters in the background. Shah Rukh draws equal attention by displaying his chiselled abs, while the beauty wears a series of sexually attractive bikinis and a shiny gold bathing suit.
In reference to DP’s appearance as a glam-goddess in the movie’s song, director Siddharth Anand remarked, “We chose to simply maximise how attractive DP could look on screen for Besharam Rang’s scene with Shah Rukh Khan in a visually magnificent beach town in Europe. And once you hear this incredible tune, the outcome will become clear.
Anand commented on the pairing of SRK and Deepika: “In the song, he and Deepika have a catching feeling. Given their huge blockbusters, they are regarded as one of the most famous on-screen couples in Hindi film history. This song shows them to their fans and audiences in a way that they have never seen them on film.
The director said the makers wanted to present Deepika in her most glamorous avatar. “Not only is Deepika Padukone a remarkable actor, but she is also the hottest and most seductive actress in our country.”
Pathaan co-starred John Abraham as the antagonist is set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
