Jeddah: Shah Rukh Khan has been known as the “romance king” of Hindi cinema for decades. He is aiming to work in action movies for the next ten years.
SRK made it clear during an interview with Deadline that he has never been involved in an action movie; he has always worked in sweet love stories. I have worked in social dramas and as bad guys, but nobody talks about me in action movies. Currently, I am 57 and hope to work in action films in the coming years. I want to do Mission Impossible-style films.
Shah Rukh’s love stories have defined romance and love on the silver screen, but early in his career, he also dealt with the ambiguous aspects of human existence in movies like Darr and Anjaam.
SRK was spotted on Thursday performing Umrah in the holy city of Mecca. In the web images and videos, the actor was seen in totally white attire, which is essential during Umrah. He also attended the Red Sea International Film Festival (RSFF) in Jeddah.
The super star uploaded a video on social media earlier this week to thank the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Culture for supporting his new movie, Dunki, in Saudi Arabia. “A very big shukran to #SaudiArabiaMinistryOfCulture, the team, and all who made this shoot schedule of #Dunki so smooth…,” he captioned the video.
Currently, Shah Rukh Khan is busy promoting his next film, Pathan, directed by Siddharth Anand. Other stars in the film include Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, who both played lead roles in the film, which is set to hit theatres on January 25 of next year.
