Gujarat Police constable committed suicide along with wife and 3-year-old daughter in Vastrapur area of Ahmedabad.
AHMEDABAD: A police constable committed suicide by jumping from the 12th floor of a building along with his wife and 3-year-old daughter in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The matter is of Vastrapur area. Kuldeep Singh Yadav was posted here as a constable in the police station and was living with the family with a flat nearby.
As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. The bodies of the three have been sent for post-mortem. At present, the police have not found any suicide note from the spot and the reason behind the suicide has not been ascertained. The phones of the deceased Kuldeep and his wife have been sent for investigation.
On the other hand, this incident of suicide has created a stir in the area. Police is seriously investigating the matter. Police said that the post-mortem report is awaited. Further action is in progress.
“Yadav lived with his wife and daughter on the 12th floor of a multi-storey building in Gota area. According to other residents, the couple along with their daughter jumped from the 12th floor at around 1.30 am. All of them died on the spot,” the police official said.
However, the officials are yet to access the constable’s phone to confirm the WhatsApp message that he reportedly sent to his friends and colleagues. In the message, the constable reportedly said that he was happy to see that his colleagues will avail the benefits of the grade pay.
For the unversed, the message referred to Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel recent announcement wherein he assured to provide Rs 550 crore annual budget for the welfare of policemen and their families ahead of assembly elections, scheduled to be held later this year.
