Thiruvananthapuram: Shocking incident came to light about actor Sreejith Ravi, Malayalam actor Sreejith Ravi has been arrested for showing nudity in front of two minor girls. The actor is the son of veteran actor TG Ravi and has been arrested under section 11. Section 11 Pocso (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) has been mentioned under this section, which is made to protect children from sexual offenses.
According to the reports, this incident was carried out in Thrissur on 4th July. According to the police, Sreejith was sitting in his car when the two minor girls came along. The actor reportedly stepped out of his car and displayed his nudity.
They were arrested from the film shooting site at Ottapalan here under section 509 (act or gesture intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the IPC, police said. The schoolgirls had complained to their headmaster that the actor took pictures of them on his mobile and allegedly made indecent gestures. However, the actor has denied the allegations.
Sreejith Ravi is best known for his roles of second lead and villain in Malayalam films. According to sources, the police have questioned actor Sreejith Ravi.
This is not the first time that Sreejith has been booked for doing such obscene acts. It is reported that a similar case was registered against the actor a few years back as well. According to a 2016 report by NDTV, the actor was arrested after a group of 14 schoolgirls from Palakkad accused him of exposing themselves in public. At that time he got bail.
