Lucknow: A case of sacrilege with a female patient has come to light from the district hospital of Uttar Pradesh. After the female patient was allegedly violent, the nurse posted at the hospital first dragged her by the hair. Then brought him on the bed and slammed him. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, the hospital management tried to justify the nurse’s antics. He claimed that there was no misbehavior with the patient.
The video is of Sitapur District Hospital, in which it is seen that a nurse is grabbing the woman’s hair and dragging her towards the empty bed. While doing this, she brings the woman to the bed. Then holding her hair, she slams him on the empty bed. During this, other male health workers are also standing to help her, who are seen on the other side of the bed.
Reacting to the viral video, Sitapur Chief Medical Officer RK Singh said that the said female patient was admitted on October 18. The next night after being admitted, after her family members left the hospital, the woman went to the washroom between 12 and 1 pm and suddenly started behaving violently.
Dr Singh claimed, “She started breaking her bangles and tearing her clothes. Seeing this panic spread among the other female patients of the ward. The hospital staff had to intervene to stop her.” He said, “The nurse on duty in the ward informed the police. At the same time, the nurses of the other ward rushed to help.”
