Shraddha murder: Chilling details in chargesheet, accused Aaftab disposed off head after 3 months

Shraddha Murder Case: Delhi Police has told in the charge sheet that the main reason for the quarrel between Shraddha and Aftab was Aftab's friendship with many girls. According to the police, he had friendship with girls from Delhi to Dubai.

New Delhi: The charge sheet filed in the Shraddha Walker murder case has revealed gruesome details about the sensational murder allegedly committed by her live-in partner Aftab Poonawalla. Delhi Police has told in its charge sheet that Aftab Poonawala had buried Shraddha Walkar’s head three months after her murder. Along with this, the accused had grinded the bones of Shraddha by putting them in a mixer and after making the powder, had disposed them. Delhi Police had filed a 6629-page charge sheet on January 24, in which all the aspects related to the murder were included.

According to the police charge sheet, Aftab had ground several bones of Shraddha with a marble-cutting mixer grinder and then made powder and threw them away. At the same time, he used a torch with sparks to burn the dead body and separate the fingers. Also, after 3 months of the murder, the police had thrown part of the head.

Also, the police told that Aftab expressed regret over Shraddha’s murder during the police interrogation. Also told that the reason for the murder was a quarrel over small things. Both had a plan to go to Mumbai on May 18, 2022, the day of the murder, but suddenly Aftab got the ticket canceled, after which both had a fight over the expenses. After that Aftab sat on top of Shraddha and strangled her.

After the murder, he had first made a plan to throw the dead body in a big bag. He had also brought a big bag for this, but then he felt that he could be caught with it. That’s why he made a plan to cut the dead body into different pieces.

In the charge sheet, Delhi Police has told that the main reason for the quarrel between Shraddha and Aftab was Aftab’s friendship with many girls. According to the police, he had friendship with girls from Delhi to Dubai.

Aftab told the police that after cutting Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces, he kept them in the fridge and later threw them at different places. Less than 20 pieces of the body have been recovered. He used a saw, a hammer and 3 knives to cut Shraddha’s body. While cutting Shraddha’s body, Aftab’s hand also got cut.

After the murder, when one of Aftab’s girlfriends used to come home, he used to take out the pieces of Shraddha’s dead body from the fridge and put it in the kitchen and put it back in the fridge as soon as she left.

Google analysis revealed that Shraddha’s account was running from Aftab’s phone since May 18. All the locations of Shraddha and Aftab have been shown by the Delhi Police in the charge sheet on May 18, which shows that Aftab had his phone with Shraddha after her murder.

According to the chargesheet, on the night of May 18, Aftab had ordered a chicken roll from Zomato only for himself, as Shraddha had been murdered on the same day. For the next three days after the murder, Aftab had ordered many bottles of water.

While presenting the charge sheet, the police had also produced Aftab Poonawala, the main accused in the case, in the court through video conferencing. During his appearance in the court, Aftab demanded to change his lawyer. Aftab had said in the court that the copy of the charge sheet should be given to him instead of his lawyer.
