Mansa: In the memory of the slain Punjabi singer, a 6.5-foot tall statue of Sidhu Moose Wala has been installed in his village of Mansa. His father, Balkaur Singh, broke down while revealing the statue of his son. He said that it is really unfortunate to see his son in stone at the young age of 28.
“I can’t bear to see my son in a statute at 28.” “We are waiting for justice.” “The killers, whether sitting on foreign soil or here, should be punished,” said Balkaur Singh.
Balkaur Singh further added, “Why give security to someone who claims openly that he killed Moose Wala?”
On the other hand, Sidhu’s mother also turned emotional while seeing the statue of his slain son. She stood beside the statue holding an arm and cried out, which was automatic.
The statue of the Punjabi singer has been placed under a shed. Meanwhile, Sidhu’s family members have urged people to plant saplings around the statue in memory of the singer, who was murdered on May 29th, this year. Lawrence Bishnoi and his men are accused of the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala.
Sidhu was considered one of the prominent Punjabi artists of his generation. He joined the Congress party in 2021 and unsuccessfully contested Assembly polls from Mansa earlier this year.
