In a joint operation with central agencies and Delhi Police, Punjab Police has arrested Deepak alias Mundi, accused in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, along with his two associates Kapil Pandit and Rajinder.
New Delhi: In the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, the police have got a big success. Punjab Police in a joint operation with central agencies and Delhi Police has arrested the absconding accused Deepak alias Mundi in the Moosewala murder case along with his two associates Kapil Pandit and Rajinder.
Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav gave this information. DGP Gaurav Yadav said that Deepak Mundi, Kapil Pandit and Rajinder were arrested by the AGTF team in an intelligence operation on the West Bengal-Nepal border. While Deepak was the shooter in the Bolero module, Kapil Pandit and Rajinder provided logistics support including weapons and hideouts.
Bolero and Corolla modules were used in the Musewala murder case. Deepak Mundi was part of the Bolero module. It was led by Haryana’s sharp shooter Priyavrat Fauji. He was accompanied by Ankit Sirsa and Kashish. After the murder of Musewala, all four fled to Gujarat. The absconding Deepak Mundi got separated from Tarn Taran around 8th July. In the Moosewala murder case, three shooters have been arrested earlier and two have been killed in police encounters.
Sharp shooter Deepak Mundi, involved in Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala murder case, had escaped with modern weapons. The police got this information from intelligence sources. Punjab Police also searched Mundi in Haryana, Rajasthan. Five special teams of police were searching Mundi.
The Punjab Police had prepared ‘Operation Mundi’ to nab the sixth sharpshooter wanted in the murder of singer Sidhu Musewala. Police teams raided several villages of Amritsar and Tarn Taran in search of Deepak Mundi. Police got information that Deepak Mundi is hiding somewhere nearby. After this, the police is conducting a continuous search operation. Now the police has got success.
