Skincare in winters: Say NO to dry skin with these simple tips

Lucknow: As winter season has arrived, so has dry and cracky skin. Though we love these chilly winds but what they do to our skin can really put many of us off. Cold winds make the skin dull and dry. But with few tips in hand we can beat the dullness and bring back the lost glow. Here are few healthy skin care routine which can bring back glow on your face:

Exfoliation

Exfoliation is so essential in winters, as in this season we tend to shed so much dead skin which needs to be removed. For this step, you can use a mild scrub or homemade scrub by adding coconut oil or milk to oats or coffee.

Cleanse your face

To cleanse your face, you can use either a milk cleanser from market or make one at home with milk – which acts as a wonderful cleanser. Natural milk contains lactic acid which acts as a good cleanser. You can use a milk-based cleanser to remove makeup and deeply cleanse the face before sleeping. It not only removes dirt and grime but also makes the skin soft.

Massage the skin daily

After exfoliation, massage the skin as it will deeply condition your skin. Use coconut oil, argan oil or rosehip oil for this. You can also use aloe vera gel. Massage with oil or gel for a decent amount of time and then wash your face with lukewarm water.

Apply Moisturizer daily

In winters it is very important to use a good moisturizer or cream. To keep the skin moist, soft and healthy, apply an ultra-hydrating moisturizer not only on your face but also on your hands and feet. Choose Deep Conditioning Cream, Gel or Moisturizer.

Apply a hydrating face mask

Use a winter hydrating face mask. To make one at home; mix finely mashed banana, 1 tbsp honey and curd with few drops of almond oil. Mix all the ingredients well and apply the mixture on the face. Keep the mixture till it dries and wash the face with normal or lukewarm water. After this application apply some moisturizer to seal the natural moister.
