Czech: Czech automaker, The Skoda Kushaq has impressed us with its looks, features, and performance, and now it has come in a new avatar – the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo 2022 which is launched on Monday, it’s a mid-size SUV. Kushaq Monte Carlo is available with both 1.0 and 1.5 TSI engines, in both manual and automatic options. It is based on the top-spec Style trim of the SUV and is available with both the 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engine options. Prices of the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition start at Rs 15.99 lakh and they go up to Rs 19.49 lakh, all prices ex-showroom.

Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo features:
The new Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo edition – similar to other Skoda Monte Carlo editions – features blacked-out exterior cosmetics, along with additional features and cosmetic enhancements on the inside. Exterior colour options limited to just red and white shades. Kushaq’s Monte Carlo edition now sports a new digital instrument cluster with red graphics to match the overall theme.
The Kushaq Monte Carlo also features newly designed upholstery and dashboard inserts. The Monte Carlo version also gets a dual-tone red and black upholstery as against the Compared standard trim’s grey and black theme.
Visually, the Kushaq Monte Carlo trim comes with updated styling which includes – Glossy black treatment for the grille surrounds, front and rear skid plates, trunk garnish and ORVMs. The SUV also gets a carbon steel painted roof with matte black roof rails and dark chrome door handles, along with a set of bigger 17-inch Vega dual-tone alloy wheels.
Being the new top-spec variant among the Kushaq trims, the Monte Carlo edition includes features like LED headlamps, automatic headlamps and wipers, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, six airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system, among others.
The Kushaq Monte Carlo, in terms of the exterior features, gets blacked-out wing mirrors, roof, grille and bumper inserts. The SUV also sports a “Monte Carlo’ badging on the front and the tailgate.
Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: engine options
The Kushaq Monte Carlo is available with all four powertrains that’s offered on the compact SUV. That means there’s the 115hp, 175Nm, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TSI engine that comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic. There’s also the 150hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engine that gets the 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox options. The Monte Carlo will appeal to a wide set of buyers at different price points.
Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo: rivals
In the compact SUV space, the Kushaq rivals the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, MG Astor and Nissan Kicks. Of these, it is only the Creta and Seltos that have top-spec special edition models – Creta Knight Edition and Seltos X-Line – which feature similar cosmetic updates as the Kushaq Monte Carlo, and are thus its natural rivals.
