Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, is set to host a radio show on Akashvani, showcasing empowering stories of women benefiting from government initiatives and influencing lives in India. The weekly one-hour program, titled ‘Nayi Soch Nayi Kahani – A Radio Journey with Smriti Irani,’ will air every Wednesday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Akashvani, India’s largest broadcaster.

The inaugural show is scheduled for November 15 on Akashvani Gold 100.1 MHz in Delhi and will be broadcasted by Akashvani stations nationwide. Audiences can also access the show through the NewsOnAIR app, Akashvani’s website (www.newsonair.gov.in), the Akashvani YouTube channel (@airnewsofficial), and various social media platforms.
The program aims to spotlight women’s success stories across diverse fields, including entrepreneurship, skill development, sports, health, and finance. The first episode will feature women from start-ups and self-made business ventures sharing their journeys of success and how they leverage government initiatives in their endeavors.
In addition to these personal stories, the show will include interviews with senior officials from various Central Government Ministries, providing insights into accessing the benefits of different government schemes. The initiative seeks to inspire and empower women by showcasing their achievements and the support available to them through government initiatives.
