Solar Eclipse 2018 on July 13: Here are the do’s and don’ts on this day!

Like every year, this year also people will get to witness Solar Eclipse on 13th of July which will be the second eclipse of the year while the first eclipse was in January. The solar eclipse occurring on July 13th 2018 will be century’s longest total lunar eclipse.

Unfortunately, this time the solar eclipse will not be visible in India but it will be visible in some of the parts of southern hemisphere. On July 13, 2018, the solar eclipse will be visible for those in the southern region of Australia, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty of live streams and pictures for those in other parts of the world.

Here are the do’s and don’ts during this year:-

1. You should avoid sleeping, urinating, bathing, intercourse activities, eating and cooking food.

2. You should not touch the worship area of your house especially the idols of God.

3. During solar eclipse, it is advised that pregnant ladies should not move out of the house, avoid cutting vegetables and stitching elsewhere the child to be born might be mentally or physically distorted.

4. Everyone should sit and chant mantras, bhajans, worship prayers as soon as the solar eclipse begins.

5. Just as the solar eclipse ends, the entire house should be purified by Ganga Jal.

6. You should also not touch the Tulsi and Shami trees.
