Regarding the special session, Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to PM Modi and listed many important issues for discussion. She also listed nine issues and urged the Prime Minister to give time to discuss them.

According to report, in the letter the Congress leader said that you have called a special five-day session of Parliament starting from September 18, 2023. I must point out that this special session has been called without consultation with other political parties. None of us have any idea about its agenda.

Sonia Gandhi said that I have full hope that time will be allotted under proper rules for discussion and debate on these 9 issues.

1- Suffering of people due to violence in Manipur and breakdown of constitutional machinery and social harmony in the State.

2- A demand has been made to discuss the communal violence in Nuh, Haryana. Along with this, there is a demand for discussion on such incidents in other states as well.

3- Continued occupation of Indian territory by China and challenge to our sovereignty on our borders in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.

4- Seeking a discussion on the issue of inflation, the letter states that the present economic situation with focus on rising prices of essential commodities, rising unemployment, rising inequalities and distress of MSMEs.

5- Demand of JPC to investigate the transactions of Adani Business Group in view of all the revelations.

6- Commitment made by the Government of India to farmers and farmer organizations regarding MSP and other demands raised by them.

7- The demand for conducting caste census has also been written in the letter.

8- Center-State relations are suffering which needs immediate attention.

9- Effects of natural calamities due to extreme floods in some states and drought in some.

According to the information, In the letter she also alleged that the special session has been called without any consultation with other political parties but he said that the session will give us an opportunity to raise matters of public concern and importance.

Meanwhile, the opposition parties of the Indian coalition on Tuesday demanded that the government maintain transparency in the agenda of the special session of Parliament from September 18 to 22 and not keep the country in the dark, even as they demanded early passage of the women’s reservation bill.
