Congress leader Sunil Rajput claimed that if the state government’s intentions behind the survey had been honest, there would have been a significant improvement in the condition of the state’s madarsas. However, the Congress leader alleged that the state government is conducting a survey to divide people on religious grounds.

The Uttar Pradesh government performed a survey of the state’s unrecognised madrassas to gather information regarding their staffing, academic programme, number of teachers, and basic amenities, among other things.

If there are no irregularities in unrecognised madrasas, the state government should acquire them, grant them, and arrange for midday meals for children, according to the Congress leader.

Currently, Congress and the BJP are not on the same platform, as the survey of madrasas has been completed in Uttar Pradesh.
