Stones pelted at BJP MP Samir Oraon’s vehicle in Agartala by unknown miscreants

On Saturday, a vehicle belonging to Samir Samir Oraon, a BJP MP and leader of the ST (Scheduled Tribe) Morcha, was attacked, while he was passing through Agartala on Saturday.

Agartala: On Saturday, a vehicle belonging to Samir Oraon, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and leader of the ST (Scheduled Tribe) Morcha, was attacked, while he was passing through Agartala, some unidentified miscreants allegedly attacked his car on the outskirts of Agartala.

Sources said that his car reportedly received stone-pelting.

Oraon escaped without any harm, while other BJP politicians who were in the car as a part of the convoy were hurt.

The security guards of Oraon fired a few shots. According to sources, security personnel fired two rounds into the crowd to scatter it before the BJP MP was rescued from it.

As per a report by a news agency, “BJP ST Morcha national president Samir Oraon was injured in Barmura, Khowai district, after being attacked by followers of Tipra Motha supporters.” Other party leaders, such as Bikash Debbarma and Bidyut Debbarma, were with him when the attack took place. “All of them were returning to Agartala after attending a meeting.”
